04/09/07: Reworked the yearbooks. Now the pictures should be a little clearer, since they are now larger. So if you had trouble reading the words, it should be readable now. Also, the birthdates in the seniors sections has been removed, so you may see some white spaces there.

03/04/07: Roberto passed this to me, so I'm passing it on to the rest of you on here who might have known Anthony Jones from the Class of 1983. He recently passed away, and the funeral notice is listed in Sunday's paper. The wake was on Sunday, and funeral is on Monday March 5th at 11am at Golden Gate Funeral Home, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Fwy at Ann Arbor Ave. Funeral home number is 214-941-7332.

01/07/07: If you want to be notified if there is a change on the HSHP web site, enter your email in the box near the bottom of this page. When you click OK, it should take you to another page. Verify the web site address and your email address is correct, then click on Next. They will send you an email to verify you want to be notified of changes (this prevents someone from signing you up from getting notices). I'm not affiliated with the Change Detection web site, but I've used it for a few months, and haven't had any problems. Once you have your account set up with them, you can monitor other pages of interest also.

Class of 1998 - someone had volunteered to work on the 1998 section, but I hadn't gotten any updates in awhile. I then sent an email to him, and both addresses bounced back. So if you had sent a request to be listed in the class of 1998, please send it to kerry@hshp.org for inclusion in the regular Directory list.
Do you have a web site? Do you have a myspace account? Send the link to kerry@hshp.org, and I will include it either in the Directory, or its own section. For now it will probably go in the Directory.
11/11/06: For those of you who had her as a teacher, or knew of her, Georgia Youngblood passed away on October 16, 2006 at the age of 77.

If you know how to make web pages and would like to volunteer to make one for a specific class year, feel free to do it! So far 1995 and 1998 is taken. You can make the web pages and either email them to me, or I can set up an ftp account for you to upload the files directly to the web site. Send an email to webmaster@hshp.org.

02/25/06: Laura Robledo, one of our 1981 graduates was involved in an accident on Friday. She's still in the hospital, but we hope she gets better! In the video below, her car is the black one on the right. - Update: Laura is out of the hospital now.

02/10/06: WARNING! Be extremely careful if you receive any emails talking about someone is sick and needing money. There is an email currently going around to HSHP alumni about an alumni needing help, and wanting money sent by Western Union to the U.K.
Unfortunately, the two names listed in the email - the one sending the email and the one the email is about, both don't have current email addresses on file here. That means we can't contact them easily. Also, both of them were last known to be in Texas, and not sure how a London doctor is involved. And all the scam emails I've received wanted payment with Western Union, just as this email is requesting.

05/19/05: For some of the older alumni, I came across a page for Dr. Brahinsky. I don't know when she started at HSHP (she's in the first 1978 yearbook, but she may have started the year before, which didn't have a yearbook). 03/07/05: Our condolences go out to the family of Juan Solorio, class of 1991. He was killed in Mosul, Iraq last Friday from an explosive device. Juan Manuel Solorio memorial.
11/07/04: A memorial for Sandra Wilson, class of 1984 has been added to the Memorial section.
07/26/04: For those who knew Terry Sims (would have been class of 1982 if she didn't move), there is a memorial on www.findagrave.com. Reading the memorial is free. Leaving a virtual flower or message requires a free membership. You'll need to leave your email, first and last name, and make a password. They will email you a code right away that you can put on the site to register. The memorial lists a second book that talks about her death, along with a couple of tv shows.

06/13/04: There is a new area called Forums. It's basically an online message area. The top of this page should show a button for Forums. Click on it, and if it's your first time to use the forum, click on Register Here! Read the terms, then click on the appropriate button at the bottom (such as I Agree). Your email address, user name, and password are the only required fields (those with * next to the options). You may fill out the other options if you desire. I recommend in the Signature field, put in your name, and on the next line, Class of XXXX (change XXXX to your year of graduation). Then anytime you write a message, the signature will fill in your name and class year for those who may not know you. Then click on the Submit button at the bottom. This forum software is new for me, so I'm still learning about it myself. There is a general message area, and there is Class year specific message areas. If you are the first writer in a message area, click on New Topic. If you see a message and want to reply to it, you should see an option called Reply to Topic. Click it, then write your message. Since this is new, it may take a while before people get used to using it.
05/13/04: There are a few additions to the web site. Cassandra Sue Aguilar (class of 1981) and Sonja G Spann (class of 1981) has been added to the Memorial section. John McCarty (class of 1980), Jeannae McKnight (class of 1981), Jesse Miller (class of 1981), Javier Leal (class of 1982), and John Nicholson (class of 1984) have been added to the Directory in the last 30 days. Jeriel Smith (class of 1982) has had his email address updated.

04/03/04: An article in the Dallas Observer was brought to my attention about a 20 year old girl murdered in 1984 in Wichita Falls by the name of Terry Sims. She was a college student who worked as an EKG technician at the Bethania Regional Health Care Center. Terry attended HSHP in the 9th and 10th grades (late 78 to early 1980), so some of you may know her. She would have been a 1982 graduate if her mother hadn't moved in 1980.
12/02/03: The senior section of the 1989 yearbook has been added.
11/19/03: The 1987 Reunion page has been updated to include some pictures by Arrhonda.
11/16/03: I have updated a lot of the email addresses located on the Directory page. For some reason I wasn't receiving the updated email addresses people were sending. That has been cleared up. If you've emailed someone located in the Directory and it bounced or you did not get a response back, try looking them up again and send an email with their new address.

10/25/03: Notice for all Active Duty military and Veterans out there, Golden Corral is giving away a free dinner buffet on November 10. This is done on the honor system. You do not have to prove you are/were in the military (Reserves included). I went last year and stood in line for 20 minutes to get in the door (very crowded that night). You may want to contact your local Golden Corral to verify they are participating in this event, but most likely, all restaurants are involved.
