Stephanie Smith-Brown died of kidney failure on September 2, 2005.  

Stephanie was involved in many school activities including HOSA, Student Council, Red Cross, and Medical Explorers.

She is survived by her mother Dorothy Merchant and three children - a boy and two girls.
