Sandra Wilson
was born on May 13, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. In high school, she was
involved in many activities, including Bioscience, Medical Explorers,
Cheerleading, HOSA, Freshman Class President, Student Council, Newspaper
Staff, Senior Activity Committee, and many others.
During the
1980-1981 school year, Sandra Wilson and Kevin Sanders first met. This
was her freshman year and his senior year. They dated during the summer
of 1983 and married on December 7, 1985 in Dallas County. Both of them
lived in Arlington and attended the University of Texas in Arlington.
Sandra was first
diagnosed with Large Cell Diffuse Lymphoma in the spring of 1987. She
was treated with chemotherapy as well as radiation therapy. In the fall
of 1987 she finished her treatment and the cancer stopped spreading. By
the summer of 1988 her cancer started to spread again. She was admitted
to Arlington Memorial Hospital, and died on September 16, 1988.
